As Energy Costs increase and Building Regulations part L2B states; "Energy Meters to enable at least 90% of energy consumption for each fuel to be assigned to its end use category. For buildings over 1000m2 , automatic meter reading and data collection facilities are required".
Autometers have responded by introducing 'Horizon' a monitoring system to comply with these requirements. The Horizon Range is the fusion of land based metering and ether based monitoring. Horizon uses Pulse inputs as well as CANBus and MODBus technology to collect and log data from utility meters. This data is automatically stored locally onto a removable SD/MMS Card or with the addition of a GPRS Module transfered directly to a dedicated, secure website where it can be access from any web enabled PC 24/7. A single Horizon Master collector (HC1) has the capability of logging data from over 2000 Pulse meters and over 250 Multifunction Power meters. All parameters and time intervals can be user defined and data is stored as a CSV file for simple opening in either Microsoft Excel or Access.
The Horizon Range is a totally expandable solution to building metering and monitoring. Whether the meters are for Multi Tenanted Office environments or domestic multi utility, Gas, Water and Electricity metering the Horizon has the capability to collect. Using The Horizon CANBus collectors and HC1 Master Unit a combination of Pulse meters and RS485 meters can be linked to a single Horizon Network.
